Sonic Zen Spheres
Sonic Zen Spheres is an audio toy for Vision Pro to demonstrate (to me?) the audio capability of VisionOS immersive environment. It is in its version 1.0 but should grow into a virtual immersive musical art installation.
Bookerpal
I wanted to simplify the organization of Resident Electronic Monthly, the monthly OpenMic that I co-host, so I created BookerPal. This is a web app that helps managing sign up for those open mics. Check the help on how to create an event or simply browse the roster of artists.
I hope this site is useful to the music community, I know wrangling, forms, applications, notes and excel,.. can be messy, this should make life easier and help artists better apply to these events.
Thanks for The Invite
This album is a collection of produced electronic styles in different styles and released physically as a Pure Audio Dolby Atmos Blu-Ray.
Modular California Vibes
4 producers, 4 days, 4 unique landscapes, 4 solar-powered productions.
Jump on board the LAGoodvibe mobile studio with Joachim Garraud, Trovarsi, Hugo Paris and Franck Martin for a unique four-day exploration of breathtaking landscapes and original music compositions. Travelog of a creative journey solely powered by Californian sunshine, the adventure gave us 4 days to compose, produce, mix, and master 100% solar powered tracks.
Next Projection: SIMI Film Festival, September 8th 3pm
The Four-Sided Note
The Four-Sided Note, an odyssey through space and time by Doug Lynner. I had the pleasure to make an immersive mix in 8.1 from a live quadraphonic performance. It is released in Dolby Atmos on June 14.
Je Me Souviens
Do you want to experience the sound of memories? Do you want to immerse yourself in a sonic journey that evokes the emotions of nostalgia, sadness, and wonder? If so, you might want to check out my new album "Je me Souviens" - I remember.
Out on the 27th October 2023!
Origins
Listen to Origins on any platform and in Spatial Audio/Dolby Atmos on Apple Music.
Dolby Atmos Tutorial for FNAMM (in French)
The FNAMM (Formation Numérique Aux Métiers de la Musique) is a Francophone online music school. It was founded by Jean-Michel Jarre, Joachim Garraud, Charles Chemery and Laurent Noudohounsi in 2023. I made for them a tutorial on mixing in Dolby Atmos on Logic Pro.
Quadraphonic
Two new pages to help you with quadraphonic:
- Which Eurorack modules are available today to do Quadraphonic?
- Often event managers do not know how to prepare a room for a good quadraphonic performance. I hope my technical rider can help you make it your technical rider for quadraphonic.
New Album: How Dare You! Live at Gray Area
How Dare You! Live at Gray Area: Recorded in quadraphonic during LeftCoastLights Eclectic Festival at the Gray Area in San Francisco on 9th September 2021.
It expresses the general inaction while we are facing a climate disaster.
Release Date: 25th August 2022
Format: Dolby Atmos/Spatial audio on selected streaming services
Genre: Dark
Ambient
New Album: Passages
Passages: The picture used for the album cover is what inspired me to do this album but also the mood of the time. Earlier in the year I had a health scare. You think about your own mortality. This past year was challenging, in the middle of a pandemic, working from home. They say the only thing that does not change is change. The sun passing through the clouds, the right imagery for Passages. The world will be different after covid-19. We are also on a path of self ecological destruction. It is a passage for humanity. I poured this mood, these emotions into this music.
It is in quadraphonic, processed to be a Dolby Atmos release and bounced to binaural for Bandcamp and other Stereo only services.
New Track: Dystopia
Dystopia: Downtempo track with Taiko drums, produced in Dolby Atmos. Get transported in a dystopian world.
New Album: To The Stars
Half Space Odyssey, half the Expanse, this is the cinematic approach of this album. This album was worked over many weeks, performed on a modular synthesizer at some events then re-worked, tuned, changed. Finally it was recorded as one take, but with different parts. You can listen to the whole album continuously or each individual tracks. Recorded in quadraphonic, then mixed and mastered in 5.1 and the result processed for a binaural version.

Data Cult Audio August 2019
I created a piece for Data Cult Audio podcast. I was performer 0122. With one performer every week, this podcast has been running for the last 2 years, and has many modular synthesizer performers. A great place to discover artists and a really awesome podcast.
Music Landria Concert, August 2019
Quadraphonic performance followed by a master class at Music Landria in Sacramento, CA. I began to explore quadraphonic sound on my modular synthesizer and created a piece to perform in quadraphonic sound at Music Landria, a free synthesizer library. The performance was posted on Youtube as a 360 video with ambisonic sound followed by the Master Class where I answered questions from the audience.
North Beats Podcast interview June 2019
I was interviewed by KZZL for North Beats podcast. We talked about the local music industry and about all the hard work that go behind the scene to make your music known.

Phuturo and I organized one in January 2019 and many people came and we got awesome feedback. So we are doing another one again. More information.
Asheville, North Carolina concert April 2019
Just after Moogfest I went to perform in Asheville, the town of Moog Music Inc and Make Noise. It was at the local 604 bottle shop, which welcomes many Synth and Modular Synth performers. It is run by Kri Samadhi and Jamie Howton. Illumination Station was the first part and this concert was sponsored by Dr Steve (whom I met at Moogfest a few years earlier). I had just made the Spectravox at Moogfest and used it for this piece. It may have been the first performance with this instrument, world wide! I also had a DFAM in my modular synthesizer case that I built at Moogfest a few years earlier. I remember, after the performance, the kind words from Steve Dunnington, the creator of both instruments, who liked how I used the DFAM in this piece.
New Album: Elements

Performance at KZSU Day of Noise 2019
I performed live a piece during KZSU day of Noise 2019 (17th edition). KZSU is the student radio station at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California, and every year they invite performers for a 24 hours extravaganza of noise. Each performer has a time slot of 30 min or 1 hour. I sampled Caltrain arriving in station and used it to compose a piece on my modular Synthesizer. This was broadcasted live on the radio and on YouTube and It is the first performance on this video.
Video featured on NPR All songs considered blog
"Franck Martin's innovative entry video was filmed near the Golden Gate bridge in San Francisco using a 360 camera (view this video on YouTube for the full effect). His choice of instrument is just as creative: a portable modular synth. The sounds of the water crashing on the shore add to the improvisational nature of Martin's piece. Just like the tourists walking by in the video, we were stopped in our tracks watching this entry." - Clara Maurer. Article on NPR.
FM+1 Mystery Event, 27th Jan 2019, The Armory Club, SF
Phuturo and I organized our first Mystery Event. Full house, awesome evening. More information.
